Aortocoronary Bypass (CABG) in Coronary Artery Occlusive Disease(20 cases)


Abstract
From march 1991 through February 1992, 20 patients with coronary occlusive diseases underwent coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Korea University Medical College (Guro Hospital).
@ES The results were as follow.
@EN 1. There were 12 males and 8 females ranged in age from 46 to 67 years with a mean of 55.6 years.
2. The obstructive predilection sites were proximal left circumflex artery (15 cases), proximal left anterior descending artery(13 cases) and right coronary artery(11 cased) decreasing in incidence.
3. I performed quadruple bypass in 2 cases, triple bypass in 8 cases, double bypass in 7 cases, and single bypass in 3 cases using great saphenous veins.
In 14 cases, left internal mammary artery was used for left anterior descending artery bypass.
4. Means of CPB, ACC time and hypothermia were respectively 110 minutes, 60 minutes and 26.5¡£C
5. Postoperative complications were phrenic nerve paralysis (7), skin wound infections (4) and temporary psychosis(2 cases).
6. There was no death & no angina.
7. Follow up periods were from 1 month to 15 months and all patients were treated with asprin and dipyridamole for 3 months after surgery.
